In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: proximity: hx9023s: Protect against division by zero in set_samp_freq Avoid division by zero when sampling frequency is unspecified. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s hx9023s proximity sensor driver. This vulnerability occurs when the sampling frequency is not specified, leading to a division-by-zero error within the set_samp_freq function. An attacker could potentially exploit this to cause a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
