Endurance implemented rebootless updates with KernelCare

A few days ago, Endurance has announced that they have implemented KernelCare to keep their servers secure and limit interruptions. Endurance is a leading provider of cloud-based platform solutions, and they have deployed KernelCare rebootless update service on shared and dedicated web servers for the Endurance family of brands including HostGator and Bluehost, among others.

No doubt we are excited that one of the internet’s largest web hosting providers has recognized that reboots should no longer be the norm, and after vigorous testing of KernelCare in early 2016, they are now implementing it across many of their shared and dedicated servers. Being able to deliver security updates seamlessly, without disrupting customer websites, is valued by Endurance and validated the whole reason we created KernelCare – to ensure uninterrupted updates and continuous security of Linux servers.

Ron LaSalvia, President, Hosting Brands, at Endurance, who leads their hosting business, said that their investment in KernelCare demonstrates their continued commitment to improving the customer experience across all brands. He added that with KernelCare, maintenance windows can now be virtually eliminated, improving the reliability of their infrastructure and keeping customers happy.

KernelCare keeps Linux servers secure with all the latest kernel patches automatically applied to the running kernel without downtime. It helps to ensure websites are on and available for customers and to eliminate interruption to critical applications, databases, and business processes.

About KernelCare

KernelCare is a live patching system that patches Linux kernel vulnerabilities automatically, with no reboots. It’s used on over 300,000 servers, and has been used to patch servers running for 6+ years. It works with all major Linux distributions, such as RHEL, CentOS, Amazon Linux, and Ubuntu. It also interoperates with common vulnerability scanners such as Nessus, Tenable, Rapid7, and Qualys.
